My dress

Last Saturday was my last sewing class with my teacher, and I finally finished my dress after the class and I pretty happy with my product.

At first, I am quite satisfied with the fabric that I chose. it is floral fabric with black background. Then, I am happy with the process, I felt that everyone can make their own dress if you really pay attention and put your effort on that, actually it applied on everything, you will find you finally will success when you found your interest on that area.

Well, my dress pattern is not very fancy an is is just simple, but it really look well and fit well when I wear it. Though I am satisfied with it and my husband also said no much defect, I still was not so confident, so that I wore it to pick up my friend at airport after I just completed it, my friend said it was beautiful and she put on some confident to me.

Finally, I decided for bigger challange and wore it to office on one of my working days, for market testing :P, seeing if anyone complaint on my dress, two of my friends commented it but it was nice comment which didn't ruin my confident and others are just act like normal.

After a day, I am quite satisfied and happy, which my my dress is nice. Somehow, I really can find some level of satisfaction for DIY it myself.

My sewing class

Finally, the sewing class was at the last class yesterday, I had totally attended 12 classes and successfully made three clothes, a pair of pant, a chongsum shirt and a dress.

When my mum knows I was attending class, she said that she could teach me some sewing skill after back to hometown. Actually, I found it wasn't too hard to learn sewing and I think I am able to do sewing by myself now.

However, I really miss the class so much, I like to be with my teacher and classmates, I found some bond with them and happiness when seeing and chatting with them, I really hope that we could see again, not really for attending class, but because I can have time with friends who have same interest with me, that we can share information and idea with each others.

Teacher said that she got another class next semester and I hope that I will be able to attend it.

Batu Feringghi Trip

Back to two months ago, SL and I wished to retreat ourselves for short holidays but I don't wish to travel too far, so we decided to take a break at Batu Feringghi.

Well, we didn't have any big plan, but only want to retreat for resting our body, our mind and our sad memory.

We have most of our time at hotel, and walked at beach and "pasar malam" at Batu Feringghi.

Besides, we also spent a afternoon at Spice Garden, this was our first time to Spice Garden in Penang, the most beautiful place in Spice Garden is near to its entrance, a lotus pool, greeny and with a small boat parking on the water. At our trip, we also saw a couple had their wedding photo, it's so romantic.

Of course, we wouldn't miss to have a meal at the Ship in Batu Feringghi.

After this trip, we still feel that our house is the best place for holidays, we quite enjoyed to spend time at home just for resting, no place is better than home for us. I think we are old now and lazy to move or planning holidays, but prefer for time at home.

A jacket for my kitchenaid stand mixer

I bought my Kitchen Aid stand mixer back to two years ago, the cover is one of the accesory to buy, but it cost about USD25 and I felt that was quite expensive and I didn't buy one.

After back to Malaysia, my stand mixer always cover by dust, so I decided to sew a jacket for it, so that I can have it protected.
